Beatrice Pearl Best, 90 of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Thursday, April 19 in Davie County, NC. Pearl was born October 3, 1927 in Eastview, KY. She was a lifetime member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Eastview, KY. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Best; daughter, Janet and 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Surviving are a son, Gene Best and wife Diana of Mocksville, NC and a granddaughter, Summer Best Cotton of South Carolina. She is also survived by two sisters, Elta Hinner of Fayetteville, NC and Wanda Faye Marks of Louisville, KY. Pearl was known by all as a kind and caring person who will be missed by her friends, immediate and extended family. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and continue after 12 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Eastview, KY. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
