William Michael "Mike" Singer, 73 of Owensboro, formerly of Cecilia, died Monday, April 2, 2018 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Boonville, IN. He was a native of Cecilia and served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandfather and great grandfather and will be sadly missed. He had a gentle soul, a heart of gold, and was quick witted. He loved life, camping, and traveling to Vermont to visit with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Connor J. Roberts in 2014; his parents, Charles "Crickett" and Blanche Brown Singer; and brothers, Ernie Singer and Louis Paul Singer. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mary Singer of Owensboro; one son, Michael S. Singer of St. Johnsbury, VT; two daughters, Peggy S. Roberts of St. Albans, VT and Tina Sarlls of Louisville; one brother, Charles Earl Singer of Louisville; one sister, Alice Fortwengler (Tony) of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Courtney Leduc (Jeremy), Danielle Roberts, Benjamin Roberts (Gabrielle), Callan Singer, Maelly Singer, Michelle Matthews (Ryan), Brandon Sarlls and Marissa Sarlls; two great grandchildren, Evelyn and Boden Leduc and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday followed by a Mass at 3 p.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Rev. Ben Brown officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow the Mass in the Church hall.
