Joseph William Goodin, 93, passed peacefully under hospice care on Saturday at Atria Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie William Goodin, his mother, Leona Pfeiffer Goodin and beloved wife Geneva Dye Goodin. He is survived by his brother Calvin Brownie Goodin, sister Barbara Goodin Hunt, son Michael and daughter-in-law Janet. Many will remember him as “Uncle Joe” and others as the friendly gentleman at Hardin Milling Company where he worked for over 50 years. He served his country in World War II and was a faithful member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30-8:00 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with interment to follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
