Charles William Jones, Jr.

Charles William Jones, Jr., 94, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, after a short battle with pancreatic and lung cancer, at his home in the presence of loving family. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and served at the naval base on Key West, FL. Born in Snyder, TX, he was reared in El Paso, TX, and has made homes in Houston and Odessa, TX; and New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA. He retired from Motorola C&E, after 20 successful years in sales and management, including his induction into the most elite Motorola sales group, The Galvin Masters, named Motorola's then-president, Bob Galvin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Louise Campbell Jones; a son, Charles Wesley Jones; and two sisters and a brother. He is survived by a son, Frank Alan Jones, and a daughter-in-law, Nina Gregory Jones; two grandchildren, Heather Leigh Jones-Glass and William (Bill) Alan Jones; a granddaughter-in-law Jaimi Priddy Jones; and a great-grandson, Cooper William Jones, all of Elizabethtown. He is also survived by his cousin and live-in companion, MarthaJayne Jones, formerly of El Paso, TX; and two nieces, Nicky Nichols and Wendy Ortiz, both of Austin, TX. Mr. Jones has requested cremation with his cremains being scattered with those of his late wife and eldest son. No services will be held. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
