Ralph LaVerne Berry, 90 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Danville, IL, served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was semi-retired from his own Berry Engineering business. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph John and Vera Pauline Harris Berry and by a daughter, Karen Courter. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Ruth King Berry, three sons, Robert (Dena) Berry of Rochester, IL, Michael (Anne) Berry of Ijamsville, MD and James Berry of Elizabethtown, three daughters, Nancy (Charles) Lohrstorfer of Decatur, IL, Patricia (Richard) McLain of Buffalo Grove, IL and Mary (Phillip) Badgley of McHenry, IL, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Shane Duvall officiating. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home. There will be a Prayer Vigil service Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to the St. James Building Fund.
