Robert Mark Zoglmann

Robert Mark Zoglmann, 71, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, August 29, 2016 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was a native of Owensboro, served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He works for Quadrant Magnetics, was the former President of Crucible and the former Business Manager for St. James Catholic Church, where during his time he spearheaded the building of the new St. James School Building where four of his grandchildren attend. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play more than anything in the world. He loved his church and was a God loving man. Bob loved UK football and basketball, coaching soccer, playing golf and his farm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret Tung Zoglmann; three brothers, Richard, Kenneth and Michael Zoglmann and a sister, Helen Krampe. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debra Winesett Zoglmann; three children, Julie Sloan (Joseph) and Kristina Ditto (Brenton), all of Elizabethtown and Jeffrey Zoglmann (Nicole) of Louisville; two brothers, William Zoglmann (Martha) and Patrick Zoglmann (Barbara), all of Owensboro; one sister, Mary Ann Higdon (Jim) of Whitesville; six grandchildren, Joseph Connor Sloan, Katherine Elise Ditto, Caiden Christian Sloan, Avery Grace Ditto, Caleb Mark Sloan and Olivia Claire Zoglmann and a beloved niece, Leesa Moman (Richard) and numerous other family members. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Linebach officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Regional Catholic School Grandparents Club or James Graham Brown Cancer Center Bone Marrow Department.
