Lucille Lunsford Martin, 90 of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Green Meadows Nursing Home in Mt. Washington. She was a native of Madison County and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir. She was a member of the Homemakers Club and the Quilters Club where she won numerous blue ribbons for her quilts at the State Fair. She retired from Ft. Knox High School where whe was a school secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Martin; her parents, Judge and Elizabeth Miller Lunsford and three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by two sons, Steven D. Martin (Mary C.) of Mt. Washington and Mark L. Martin (Ruth) of Montgomery, AL; one daughter, Elizabeth Gail Aubrey (John W.) of Dover, DE; six grandchildren, Ryan D. Martin, Lindsay C. Martin, Chessie Martin, Carrie Martin, Eric Aubrey and Jennifer Aubrey and six great grandchildren, Sara Ruth, Colton, Jordan, Brandon, Katie, Michael and Brittany. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 noon Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home.
