Charles Laymon Sandfer, 80 of Eastview, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Eastview and a member of First Baptist Church of Eastview. He retired from General Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley Howard and Oma Mae Coogle Sandfer and three brothers, Howard Sandfer, Wavey Sandfer and Hayes Sandfer. He is survived by two children, Doug Sandfer of Eastview and Debbie Gamble of Alabama; one step son, Dean Waugh; a brother, Richard Sandfer of Sonora and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m at First Baptist Church of Eastview with Pastor Mike McGrew officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home and continue Monday from 11-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Eastview. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
