Mary Alice Payton, 90 of Glendale, died Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Berean Baptist Church. She retired from Ft. Knox Civil Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Leonard Payton; her parents, Noah and Rosie Gossett Huffman and a brother, Maxie Huffman and three sisters, Mable Hensley, Rosie Mae Payton and Louise Huffman. She is survived by her son, Michael (Angela) Payton of Magnolia; one granddaughter, Ketrina Payton-Branco (Scott) of Nashville, TN; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Libby" Huffman of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Lyle officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. and continue after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
