Derek Anthony Dvorjak

Derek Anthony Dvorjak, 26, of Elizabethtown, died on Monday, April 25 at his home. Derek was born in Pittsburgh, PA and moved with his family to Elizabethtown in 1992. He was a graduate of St. James Catholic School and John Hardin High School. Derek was a KHSAA State Track Champion in the 4x800 relay. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout from Troop 233. He was a graduate of the University of Louisville and was a brother in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Derek was a kind, intelligent, handsome, generous, determined, and passionate young man. (Trump 2016) He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Derek was preceded in death by his infant sister, Cecilia Marie Dvorjak, his paternal grandparents, Mary and John Dvorjak, and his maternal grandmother, Susan Ondo. Derek is survived by his parents, Mary Rose and Dennis Dvorjak, his siblings, Daniel (Daniela & nephew John Max) Olivia, Veronica, and Jacob, his Pappy, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Gus. Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00-8:00. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church with burial following at St. James Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. James Catholic Church/Cemetery Fund. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
