Luvina Owens, 73, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Central City, and a Member of The Order of Eastern Star Upton Chapter 74. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Owens; parents, Willie and Lizzie McGee; three sons, Rodney, Richard, and Kenneth Owens; brother, Robert McGee; and two sisters, Mary Beck, and Juanita Goodman. She is survived by her daughters, Karla Cundiff and Melissa Owens, both of Elizabethtown; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. The Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 10 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus.
