Kenneth D. Thacker, 74 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was a native of Somerset, served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam and attended Grace Heartland Church. He was a truck driver for Gainey Transportation and Dean's Milk. He was a UK fan, loved camping and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Dault and Grace Ellen Abbott Thacker; three brothers, Joseph Thacker, Harold Thacker and Everett Thacker and two sisters, Wanda Wenrick and Brenda Smith. He is survived by four sisters, Geneva Puckett, Anna Bennett and Gloria Lair all of Elizabethtown and Shirley Skaggs of Tifton, GA; several nieces and nephews and cousins and a special friends, Ronnie, Belinda and Dalton Knight. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Noel officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A Graveside service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
