Beverly T. Maloney

On March 23, 2023 Beverly T. (Bev) Maloney, age 96, formerly of Poestenskill, NY, was granted her wish to join her beloved husband, Charles F. Maloney, Sr. for their eternal rest. Beverly was a waitress in the City of Troy for many years working in such places as The Alpha Lanes, The Airport Inn, and Marios Restaurant. In the early 70s, she went to work for New York State in the Teachers Retirement System. Bev always loved to make people smile and for that reason, she attended the Clown College at Hudson Valley Community College. She graduated as Doozy the Clown, and spent many years entertaining children and adults alike with her balloon animals, jokes and tricks. Beverly was also a two-time President of the Speigle Elders in Brunswick, NY. She became a strong advocate for Senior Rights and arranged many informative programs for her fellow members. Beverly was a long-time parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Troy before moving from the area. Beverlys oldest daughter Linda Powers of Troy preceded her in death in February of this year. She is survived by her remaining children, Debra (Gary) Bailey of Somerset, KY and Charles F. (Janis) Maloney, Jr., of East Amherst, N.Y. and Mark (Lynn) Maloney of South Fulton, TN, a sister and two brothers, Joan Chambers of Palm Harbor, FL, Earl E. (Marlene) Ingalls, Jr. of Loudon, TN and Joseph (Carol Ann) Ingalls of Peoria, AZ. Beverly was the proud Grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation service at Brown Funeral in Elizabethtown, KY on Monday, March 27 th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for relatives and friends. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hosparus Health Central Kentucky. A graveside burial service will be celebrated at the Eagle Mills Cemetery in Brunswick, NY at a future date. Relatives and friends will be notified of the date and time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Northeastern Association for the Blind in Albany, NY or to Sacred Heart Church.
