Beulah Rae Catlett

Beulah Catlett, 88, of Elizabethtown passed away Saturday, January 21st at Baptist Health Hardin with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Lyons Station, KY and graduated from Hodgenville High School. She had many stories to tell about how she and her identical twin sister would play tricks on boys that would ask for dates. After high school, she graduated from beauty college and was a hairdresser for many years. She owned several beauty shops during the 1960's and 70's and joked that she fixed about every woman's hair in Elizabethtown. In the late 1970's, she obtained her real estate license and for the next 40 years, she was one of the top real estate agents in the area. She won many awards for her exceptional real estate services. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Ethel Ewing and her twin sister, Eula Crain. Survivors include her son, Kenny Lewis (Janice); granddaughters, Kelli Gipson (Jacob) and Tracy Johnson (Joe); great-grandchildren, Bennett Gipson, Cole Gipson and Shelby Ryan and two sisters, Doris Simpson and Alma Ford. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Marty Fulkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
