Joseph A. "Doc" Clark

Joseph A. "Doc" Clark, 69 years of age, passed peacefully at his home. Doc was born October 19, 1953 in Grayson Co. to the late Hubert and Edna Clark. He was the youngest son of nine children, one brother Ike Clark preceded him in death. Doc was married to the love of his life, Rosemary Clark for 30 years, until her passing in 2012. He is survived by his daughters Tracy Clark, Cerrie Scott, and Kelly Clark all of Grayson Co. and Anna L. Dennis of Largo, FL. His granddaughters Darrian, Mady Escue and Page (Jeffrey) Sims of Grayson Co., Ashley (Derek) Smith and Laura White of Elizabethtown, and Rachel Dennis of Largo, FL. His great-granddaughter, Sophia Sims and three great-grandsons, Gabriel, Zachary Manco, and Hudson Smith are left to cherish his memory. Reba, his loyal companion will miss him greatly. Doc is also survived by his brother Eddie Clark of Macon, GA and his sisters, Barbara Tilford, Geneva Pawley, Jane Tilford, Anita Dube, Rita Sanders and Alicia Casey. Doc retired from Gates Rubber Co. after have working there for over 30 years. He was the ultimate handy-man and could fix anything. He loved spending time with his family, especially his dog, Reba, and hunting and fishing. We will all miss his sense of humor and his kindness to help whenever we needed it. The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, December 9, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. and continues after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at brownfuneral.com.
