Charles David “Dave” Thomas, 67 of Cecilia, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of St. John Catholic Church. He was a lifelong farmer and loved fishing and hunting. He had a contagious laugh and loved sharing stories with his buddies and laughing. Dave loved his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Betty Thomas. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jan Thomas; his siblings, Donna (Raymond “Rick”) Thomas, John (Brenda) Thomas and Kevin (Dana) Thomas all of Elizabethtown and Lisa (Garry) Lee of Nashville, IN; nine nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Father Jeff Gatlin officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the donor’s favorite charity.
