Travis Jacob Lucas, age 27 of Glendale, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at his home after a 7 year courageous battle with cancer. He fought the good fight and was our superhero. He was a member of Open Valley United Missionary Baptist Church. A 2013 graduate of Hart County High School, he loved basketball, music, drawing and especially scaring people. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Lucas. He is survived by his parents, Travis and Chasity Lucas of Glendale; his sister, Jalyn Lucas of Campbellsville; and grandparents, Bonnie Lucas and Furland and Wyonia Butler. The funeral is Tuesday, December 6, at 11 a.m. at Open Valley United Missionary Baptist Church in Hardin County, with Bro. Malcom and Bro. Jeff Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church and will continue at 9 a.m. on the day of service.
