Elizabeth Ann Blackburn, 86, of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born in Neshoba County, Mississippi on October 1, 1936 to the late Letha and Clearmon McCraw. She was a charter member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church, but attended Middle Creek Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. She was affectionately known as "Nanny" to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and the numerous children she babysat over the years. She loved reading the Bible, cooking, and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John H. Blackburn, and her brothers, Thomas McCraw and Charles McCraw. Survivors include her children, Robin Barker (Marvin) and Lori Timbers (John) all of Elizabethtown, John H. Blackburn, Jr. (Beverly) of Grand Rivers, KY, and Jeffery Blackburn (Iliana) of Indianapolis, IN; her grandchildren, Sara Maddox (Ben), Hannah Hobbs (Josh), Brandi Miller (Philip), Brooke Wilkinson, Blake Wilkinson, Josh Timbers (Stacy), Jessica Lyons (Matthew), Maegan Knasel, Josh Bowyers, Daniel Blackburn (Shannon), and Jacqueline Blackburn; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her brother, Jackie McCraw of Conehatta, MS as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday at 12 noon at Brown Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Haynes officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
