Ann Terry Cofer

Ann Terry Cofer gained her wings and went to walk with the angels on October 24 after passing peacefully at her home. She was 82 years old. She was born in LaRue County to Dave Logan Terry and Willie B Farmer in 1940. She was the biological mother of one daughter, Lisa. However, she unselfishly raised and loved 5 brothers/sisters as her own. She also participated in raising many children that she rendered child care services to over the years. She loved to cook, maintain her flower gardens and kept an immaculate house. She spent her last few years living in Louisville near her daughter. Ann is survived by her daughter Lisa Cofer La Rocca, son in law, Renato La Rocca as well as sisters Florine Langley, Louisville, Jean Daniels, Lois (Jimmy) Harned and Gail Patterson, all of Elizabethtown; a brother, Michael Terry (Jonnye) of Clearwater, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces/nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert(Bobby) in 2004; her beloved Madeline (Maltese); her parents; sisters, Mary Jo Sutton and Martha Owens and brother Walter Terry. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Williams officiating. Her final resting place will be Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Florine Langley for assisting with Anns care the last few years. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New Hope Community Church (Elizabethtown), Habitat for Humanity (Hardin County) or Kaydees Promise Rescue (Taylorsville) Ease your grief, she is not gone.
