Walter Nelson Casey

Walter Nelson Casey, 74, of Cecilia, passed away Saturday, September 24th, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. He was born in Fresno, California on December 31, 1947, to Kenneth Casey and Doris Leone Ferry. While he was born in Fresno, Ca, he lived most of the first 40 years of his life in Phoenix, Arizona. He became the youngest Journeyman Plumber in the state of Arizona at age 16. He went on to work as a licensed plumber for his fathers plumbing company and worked as a Generator Jumper for Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant, in Arizona. He moved to Cecilia, KY in his early forties and worked for AP Technoglass (AGC) in Elizabethtown, Ky, until he retired. When not working he enjoyed farming, volunteering with the KY-86 Volunteer Fire Department in Cecilia, Ky, and playing Santa during the Christmas season to help bring happiness to children. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Elizabethtown, Ky. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, his mother Doris, and sister Linda. He is survived by his wife, Cindy, his sisters Judy and Martha, his five children Michael, Robert, Kristin, David, and Kelly, and his nine grandchildren, Chris, James, April, Meghan, Ford, Ryan Jr., Sara, Isabella, and Emily.
