Mary Frances Stillwell Richie, 83 of Elizabethtown, died peacefully Thursday, September 1, 2022 at her home surrounded by his family. She was a native of Hardin County and a founder and longtime member of Open Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving caring, compassionate mama, mammaw and grammy and touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Richie; her parents, Archie McKinley and Alice Stillwell; 3 infant siblings, four brothers, one sister, two infant grandchildren and one infant great grandchild. She is survived by her children, Peggy Moore of Florida, Pat (Donna) Goodman of Elizabethtown, Teresa (Steve) Sebastain of Leitchfield, and Glenda (Ricky) Goodman and Karen (Kenny) Goodman all of Cecilia; special loving friends, Sherly, Linda, Jimmy and Charlotte; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was a dedicated and loving step mom to 8 children and their children. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Doyle and Rev. Jeff Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Jeffries Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
