Brenda Gail Knoth Jeffries

Brenda Gail Knoth Jeffries, 71 of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022. She was born on August 17, 1951, the daughter of James and Josephine Knoth; the sixth of seven children. Brenda graduated from Lyon County High School in 1969 as an honor student and graduated from High Forrest Medical Academy in Nashville, TN in 1970. She worked as a doctor's assistant, x-ray technician, and as a medical office manager for several medical practices for over forty years. She was a longtime member of Gilead Baptist Church in Glendale, KY. At Gilead, she served as church treasurer, Sunday School teacher, children's choir director and served on various church committees. She also served as pianist for the Gloryland Messengers gospel quartet for over twenty years. In addition to her heartfelt Christian service, Brenda also belonged to a book club, enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who have the assurance of her heavenly home. Brenda was survived by her husband of 52 years, Freddie Jeffries; two daughters, Missy (Jody) Prather and Julie (Joe) Ferguson and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Joyce, Bro. Mike Bell and Rev. Rio Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home and continue after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gilead Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Brightlife Farms, Inc. in Princeton, KY or St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN in honor of Brenda Jeffries.
