Robert Lucien "Bob" Hall

Robert Lucien "Bob" Hall, 88 of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Signature Healthcare in Elizabethtown. He was born in Henderson, raised in Caldwell County, and was known as "Lucien" in Western Kentucky and "Bob" in Elizabethtown. Bob was retired as the President and Owner of Kentucky Galvanizing Co., and as the Hardin County Solid Waste Coordinator. He operated his farm for many years in Hardin County. He was a longtime member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and was a member of the Elizabethtown Lions Club. He was also formerly involved with the Boy Scouts of America where he watched his son, Steve, attain Eagle Scout. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and the annual pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota generated tales of legend still shared today. Bob had an easy smile, gentle nature, and was beloved by family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Jean Hall; his parents, Hewlett and Mary Hall; his older brother, Kenneth Hall; and his twin brother, Lawrence Hall. He is survived by his son, Robert Steven Hall of Elizabethtown; his sister, Joyce Gilkey of Princeton; sisters-in-law Dean Hall, Sharon Hall and Marilyn Gibson; his little dog, Sassy, who was his constant companion; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral is Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Glenn Chasteen officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and continues after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at brownfuneral.com.
