Olan Lynn Morris, formerly of Rineyville, passed away peacefully at his home in Palm Coast, Florida, on June 18, 2022, after a brief illness. Olan was a retired Sergeant First Class, United States Army, with 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, Virgil O. and Dorothy L. Morris, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Karmel Ferren and Shirley Cook. Olan leaves to cherish his wife of 30 years, Sylvia; three sons, Michael (Denise) Morris of Higginson, AR, Robin (Emily) Montgomery of Barnstable MA, and Phillip (Kara) Montgomery of Elizabethtown KY; one daughter, Stacy Morris; 6 grandchildren, Blakely, Amber, Hunter, Cooper, Grayson, and Ava; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A burial with military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetary Central and celebration of life will be held privately for family. In lieu of flowers, per Olans wishes, donations may be made to your favorite animal rescue organization or charity in his memory. Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.
