Emma Louise Fred, 99 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Helmwood Health Care. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Fred; her parents, Stanley and Lona Worth Irwin and two sisters, Sylvia Mullins and Clara Mae Warren. Survivors include two children, Johnnie Fred (Wanda) of Elizabethtown and Rogerlyn Shaw (Frank) of Springhill, FL; two grandchildren, Scott Lawson (Lori) of Berea and Jill Newman (Mark of Elizabethtown; six great-grandchildren, Kayden Lawson, Keri Thorn, Blake Thorn, Preston Murphy, Hunter Pierce and Bryce Newman and two great-great-grandchildren, Teagan and Noelle Pierce. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Don Flanigan officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
