Dolores Dunaway Pfeiffer, 91 of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Helmwood Health Care Center. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Longview United Methodist Church where she formerly played the piano. She like to knit and crochet. She retired from Fort Knox Civil Service and after retirement, she volunteered at Hardin Memorial Hospital and has over 25000 volunteer hours. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Pfeiffer; her parents, William D. and Mary Ellen Masters Dunaway and a sister, Betty Jean Dunaway. Survivors include two children, Mark (Trisha) Pfeiffer and Gayla (Kenneth) Barnard all of Elizabethtown; one brother, Gerald (Delores) Dunaway of Florida; four grandchildren, Derek (Nina) Pfeiffer, Toni Pfeiffer, Allison (Ryan) Berry and Jonathan (Olivia) Barnard and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
