Dwight Anthony Buckles, 76 of Lexington, formerly of Elizabethtown, died Friday, April 29, 2022 at Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. He was a native of Jefferson County, served in the U.S. Army and retired Civil Service. He attended Clays Mill Baptist Church in Lexington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Howe Buckles; his parents, Clyde T. and Sibyl Barry Buckles and a sister, Marlene Catlett. He is survived by one sister, Brenda Routt (Ronnie) of Fernandina Beach, FL; nieces and nephews, Tracey Stanton (Allen), Bobby Catlett (LaDonna) and Bart Catlett all of Elizabethtown and Kalen Paxton (Blake) of Fernandina Beach, FL. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm and continue after 9 am.
