Philip David Hancock

Philip David Hancock, 81 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, April 1, 2022 at his home. He was a native of Detroit, Michigan, served in the U.S. Army and was a member and retired Deacon at Glendale Christian Church. He worked at Elco Industries in Illinois and retired from Vermont America in Elizabethtown, KY. In retirement, he was a sewing machine repairman for over 10 years. He was a great man who loved his family and the Lord, a devotion he has passed along to his family. He was a "Jack of all trades," in woodworking and machinery, a real "Mr. Fix It". Philip was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Heacock and Stephania Elizabeth Shegitz Heacock and brothers, Phillip Dennis Heacock and George Neil Heacock. Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay Crenshaw Hancock; four daughters, Ramona Kay Kuntzelman (Rick) of Davis, IL, Tonya Lynn Miller (Steve) of Winnebago, IL, Pamela Sue Bain (John) of Carrollton, GA and Rebecca Anne Wilson (Ken) of Pittsburgh, PA; one sister, Georgette Elizabeth Yaroch; one brother, Kenneth Stephen Heacock; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Glendale Christian Church with Bro. Mike Bell and Bro. Adam Hale officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
