James Caroll Bentley, 87 of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was a native of Knott County and was retired from his personal Lawn Care Maintenance. He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Bentley and Nora Smith; three brothers, Billy D. Bentley, Russell Bentley, and Hagan Bentley; a sister, Norma Bentley. He is survived by a sister, Airlene Bentley of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Darnell Bentley of Eastview, Kelly T. Bentley of Elizabethtown, Dexter (Mary Helen) Bentley and Kirby (Pam) Bentley, both of Cecilia; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral is Monday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
