Ann Ennis Akers, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. She was born in Marion County and lived in Elizabethtown. Ann was a lifelong member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. Ann was a greeter and taught Bible drills at church where she faithfully served for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Darrell Akers; a son, Donald Akers; and her parents, Russell and Montra Ennis. She is survived by two sons, David (Penny) Akers and John (Rebekah) Akers, both of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Emily, Warren, Carey, Daniel, and Ben; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral is Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown with Bro. Emory Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation starts at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 and continues until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to ALS Association, Severns Valley Building Fund, Northside Baptist Church, or Oneida Baptist Institute.
