Glenda Kay Castle Brangers

Mrs. Glenda Kay Castle Brangers, 74 of Elizabethtown, passed away March 20th, surrounded by her family at Signature Colonial of Bardstown. Mrs. Brangers was a member of Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church and retired civil service from Fort Knox as a budget analyst in 1997. She enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and traveling with friends and family. Glenda was predeceased by her husband George in 2007, and her parents, Carmal and Ola Castle. She is survived by her children, Chris (Christa) Brangers of Elizabethtown and Tracy (David) Gibson of Cecilia; 6 grandchildren, Michaela, Courtney, and Gabe Brangers, Shelby (Austin) Bryan, and Ethan and Macy Gibson; sister Pat Castle Gillette of Richland, Georgia; brother, Joe (Nancy) Castle of Paintsville; Aunt Virginia Clay of Ashland; sisters-in-law, Marcella Crewz, Helen Miller, and Pat Livingston; brother-in-law, Frank Brangers and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Mitch Whidden officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and continue Thursday after 9 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
