Annette Powell West, 65 of Cecilia, died Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was an avid UK and NY Yankee fan. Annette was the manager of the Whistle Stop for 12 years and was known for her hospitality and compassion. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Melton Powell. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Michael West; three sons, Philip West (Belinda) of Horse Cave, Stephen West (Jennifer) of Roswell, GA and John West (Emily) of Cecilia; her mother, Maxine Smallwood Powell of Elizabethtown; one sister, Clarissa Yates (David) of Cecilia; two brothers, Mike Powell (Sue) of Powell, TN and Larry Powell (Jenny) of Fortville, IN; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Caleb, Lana, Andrew, Kara, Roxie, and Jacob West; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Gracie. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
