Gary Overton Lyons, 66 of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by the love of with his loved ones. He was born and raised in Breckinridge County and was a Patient Financial Counselor at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Gary loved singing, was a UK Basketball fan, and was an Elvis Impersonator at Hardin Memorial Hospital. His favorite musician was CHER. He was also the CHHS "Band Dad" and cheerleader. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lyons and Norma Jean Nix; and a brother, Bobby Lyons. He is survived by his wife, Kim Lyons of Elizabethtown; a son, Justin (Sara) Lyons of Lexington; two daughters, Jennifer (Theran) Harwood of Bonnieville, and Emily (Heaven) Lyons of Lexington; and a brother, Mark Lyons; seven grandchildren, Benjamin and Jackson Lyons; Evelyn, Gwynevere, Izabella, and TJ Harwood; Oliver Lyons; and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Bro. Steve Hill officiating. Visitation begins at 12 Noon Wednesday until the time of the service.
