Luther Joel Brigman aka Cowboy, 60 of Hardin County, passed suddenly but peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shari Crell Brigman on March 17, 2018; his mother, Dorothy Marie Brangers Howe and step-father, Ralph Daniel Howe. He leaves behind two daughters, Elizabeth Brigman-Akkerman of Oxford, WI and Jolene Brigman-Westholm (Derek) of Barron, WI; step-daughter, Joy Shore Nix (John), granddaughter, Anissa Nix Simpson (Robbie) and great granddaughter, Waverly Simpson all of Eastview; adopted daughters, Kimberly Smith (Tate) and their five children, Taylor, Ryan, Alexander "Alex", Anthony and Frieya and Sara Bellomio and her children, Jordyn, Kile, Kylie, Dacodea, McKenzie and Austyn; his siblings, Rose Marie Gifford (Doug Stout), Charlotte Kay Brock, William "Billy" Brigman (Chetta) and Sidney Warner Brigman (Teri); his best friend, Joseph King and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for help with cremation and burial services. Donations may be made to a Gofundme account created by his brother Sidney "Pooh" or directly to the funeral home in Joel's "Cowboy's" name. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
