Michael Allen Harman

Michael Allen Harman, 65 of Big Springs, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin with his family by his side. He was a native of Wurzburg, Germany and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Forester during the Vietnam Era. He was a Firefighter at Fort Knox, was a former EMT for Blanchfield Community Army Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY for 18 years and was the Project Manager for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. He was active at the Fort Campbell stables, loved horses, dogs and the outdoors. He was a good family man who loved jokes, boating and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romie Sylvester Harman and Maria Elisabeth Miller; and his brothers, George Harman and Steve Harman. Survivors include his wife, Terri Harman; two children, Christina (Shelby) Wilcox of Vine Grove and Robert Wesley Kleinhelter of Louisville; four step children, Jennifer (Adam) Garcia of Minot, ND, Danielle Hixon of Sparta, TN, Stephanie Hixon of Cookeville, TN and Thomas Hixon of Nashville; one sister, Linda Owen of Elizabethtown; nine grandchildren, Lori Arms, Shelby Wilcox, Jr., Elizabeth Wilcox, Joseph Wilcox, Tagen Byers, Thomas Garcia, Nina Garcia, Sean Garcia and Lillie Duvall and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life will be Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Big Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Simmons officiating. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
