Charles Houston "Frog" Roby

Charles Houston "Frog" Roby, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away at his home on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was a native of Nelson County, a member of Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church, and a farmer. He was an Army veteran and retired after 43 years from Jim Beam Distillery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oral Samuel and Curtis Weller Roby and a brother, J.O. Roby. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Trudy Roby of Elizabethtown; a son, Rick (Shelley) Roby of Cecilia; a daughter, Brenda (Joe) Doom of Glendale; a brother, Tom (Patsy) Roby of Cox's Creek; 3 sisters, Alma (Norman) Furrie of Cox's Creek, Mary Monin of Bardstown and Faye (Johnny) Gordon of Cox's Creek; 4 grandchildren, Montana and Savannah Roby, Megan (Levi) Knight and Henry (Brianna) Doom; 4 great grandchildren, Haisley, Carley, Landon and Brayden and one on the way. His funeral will be 11 am Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cox's Creek. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
