Wanda Lee Buckles Knox, 83 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, January 10, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Hardin County, graduated in 1956 from Elizabethtown High School and was a member of First Christian Church. She formerly worked for General Telephone and A Arnold Moving Company. She was a lifelong homemaker, U of L Women's Basketball fan, Elvis fan and loved her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Roland L. Knox; her parents, Albert and Eva Buckles and her siblings, Marion Buckles, Robert Buckles, Owen Buckles, Evelyn Shelman, Roy Buckles and John Buckles. Survivors include two daughters, Pam (Greg) Hardin of Columbia and Kim (Mike) Parks of Elizabethtown; one brother, Bill (Linda) Buckles of Glendale; one sister, Jane Bell of Louisville; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Buckles and Linda Buckles; four grandchildren, Caitlynn Meade (Jonathan), Maci Parks, Gillian Isham and Knox Isham and one great granddaughter, Evelynn Meade. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Mike Parks and Jonathan Meade officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to the Glendale Christian Cemetery.
