Eileen Bernice Clark, 80, of Cecilia, entered into the Glories of Heaven on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Helmwood Healthcare in Elizabethtown. Bernice (as she was known to family and friends) was born September 19, 1941, to Fayette and Clara Nolan in Louisville, KY. She was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church in Brownsville, KY. She was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and an example to many. She had an unwavering faith in God and shared His love and prayers to family and friends. She loved her family and cooking. Bernice was well known for working at G. C. Burkhead Elementary School as a teacher's aide and at The Whistle Stop Restaurant. She was a loving and proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She joins her loving husband, John P. Clark; her parents, Fayette and Clara Nolan in heavenly peace. She leaves behind her daughters, Teri (Bob) Shumate of Elizabethtown and Marsha (Todd) Veith of Louisville; 3 grandchildren, Andrea (Travis) Pelley, Kandi (Kyle) Fortune, and Sydney Veith; 3 great grandchildren, Tenley Pelley, Keaton Pelley, and Khloee Fortune; four siblings, Wayne E. (Mary) Nolan, Everett Vernon (Ruth) Nolan, Christine L. Egbert, and Ernest E. (Christy) Nolan; brother-in-law, Jim (Nancy) Clark, and many nieces and nephews. A private family service is being held with Rev. Tommy Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Mulberry Flats Cemetery. The family requests masks be worn.
