Jackie Boyd Woosley, age 81, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2021, surrounded by his family. Jackie was born on July 23, 1940 to the late R.B and Ruby Holbert Woosley. Jackie was a 1959 graduate of Howevalley School and a 1970 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Administration. He was a 1975 graduate of the Kentucky School of Banking and a 1978 graduate of the University of Virginia Graduate School of Banking. He worked in the banking industry as a mortgage loan officer for many years. He was married for 45 years to the late Sherry Gray Woosley. His brother, Randy Woosley, also preceded him in death. Jackie served in the Army where he was honorably discharged. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Additionally, he was a 50-year Master Mason member of Stephensburg Lodge 212 F&M. Also, he was a member of the Elizabethtown Lions Club. Jackie also strived to improve his community by volunteering at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Schmidt Coca-Cola Museum, and the 4-H Club for many years. Jackie will be remembered for his love for his family. He never met a stranger because he liked to talk to everybody. Jackie is survived by his son Brian; daughter-in-law Christy; grandson Austin; one brother Bobby Woosley, two sisters, Betty Cundiff and Judy Webb. The funeral service will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, Kentucky on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 1:00 pm with Brother Ron Davis officiating. Burial follows at Meeting Creek Church Cemetery in Eastview, Kentucky. Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
