David Clem

David Leon Clem, 81, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. David was born on April 24, 1940 to the late Cecil and Emma Clem. David was a 1959 graduate of Rineyville High School. David served in the Army National Guard and retired from CSX railroad. He was also a member of Younger’s Creek Baptist Church. He fulfilled the last six and a half years serving as an ambassador at Atria Senior Living where he enjoyed helping and being a friend to other residents. David loved talking and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed model trains, puzzles, and reading. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mangum Clem; and one brother, Roy (Wayne) Clem. He is survived by his son, Steven (Michele) Clem of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Lisa (Anthony) Johnson of Elizabethtown; one sister, Dorothy (Charlie) Fox of Elizabethtown; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Clem of Louisville; and four grandchildren, James (JT)Hatcher of TX, Elizabeth Johnson, and Chelsea and Cameron Clem all of Elizabethtown. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021at Younger‘s Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Lewis officiating. Burial follows in Younger‘s Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 15 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues Thursday after 9 a.m. at the church. The family requests that face masks be worn.
