Betty Alice Shartzer Peters, 72 of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Breckinridge County, a homemaker, and a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. She loved God, her church, and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Leroy Shartzer and Rhoda Wardrip Shartzer; her husband, Rev. Froman Peters, Sr.; siblings, Mary Ann Peters, Larry Shartzer, and Bonnie Cowherd. She is survived by her son, Froman (Stephanie) Peters, Jr of Upton; her daughter, Angelia (Bill) Carlson of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Jesse, Bobby, Tommy, and David Shartzer; six sisters, Hazel Brown, Ida Duncan, Sue Dowell, Jeanie Van Name, Brenda Ramsey, and Connie Drake; seven grandchildren, Corrina Carlson, Olivia Johnston, Layla Johnston, Jacob Ramsey, John Phillip Ramsey, Amanda Turner, and Blake Carlson; and a great granddaughter, Stella Turner. The funeral will be Wednesday, November 1st at 11 am at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Bro. David Reynolds and Bro. William Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Open Valley Cemetery.
