Susan Wright Smith Coombs, 70, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at her residence. She was a native of Hardin county and retired from U.S. Consolidated Farm Services Agency. She was a loving wife, mother, and memaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Carl Wright, Sr. and Eula Mabel Jones and her son, Stephen Bryan Smith. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Wayne Coombs of Cecilia; two step-sons, Bryan Coombs of Cecilia and Chris (Sydney) Coombs of Elizabethtown; three step-daughters, April Brown of Fl, Brooke Johnson of Elizabethtown, and Amanda Johnson of Vine Grove; a daughter-in-law, Renee Day Smith of Elizabethtown; one brother, William Carl Wright, Jr. of Cecilia; one sister, Patricia Wright Williams of St. Louis; and grandchildren Benjamin, Nathaniel, and Elijah Smith; Raylan, Nora, Nevaeh, and Ashton Coombs; Damion Bester, Kayli Hill, Lyrica Brown, Elijah Tolliver, Amelia Dusenbury, and Jaelynn Horne. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Don Sexton officiating.
