Rena Williams Nichols, 66 of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church, worked as an operator at GTE Telephone Company for 20 years, and USA Bridal for 22 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, W. F. "Bill" and Mabel Glass Williams; two brothers, Bennie Williams and Clyde Williams; two sisters, Dora Jean West and Sue Logsdon; and a half sister, Betty June Kelly. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Carl Nichols of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Carla (Tim) Moore; one son, Casey Nichols, all of Elizabethtown; four brothers, George (Sharon) Williams, Charles H. (Bonnie) Williams, Tommy (Patricia) Williams, and Kirk Williams; one sister, Virginia A. Williams; five grandchildren, Dalton Moore, Cody Moore, Bailey Moore, Corbin Nichols, and Olivia Nichols; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and continues after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that masks be worn.
