Rexford "Rex" Allen Nevitt, 68, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home. He was a native of Breckinridge County, an active member of Berean Baptist Church, and a retired custodian for Hardin County Schools. He was a loving husband, father, and Papa. Rex was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting, and a born athlete, winning several trophies for softball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Nevitt and Reba Avitt Nevitt; three brothers, Randall, Norman, and Cary; two sisters, Joyce and Deidra. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Jones Nevitt of Elizabethtown; two sons, Jason Nevitt and Aaron Nevitt (Michelle), both of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Clayton Nevitt and Reid Nevitt; four sisters, Marlene Madrid (Felipe), Andrea Stivers, Kay Carter, and Mavis Robles (Raul); four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Braden, Parker, and Emerson. The funeral will be Saturday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Berean Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gideons International. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
