Betty Ree Witten Roberts, 90 of Cecilia, left this world for her heavenly home on Monday, July 26, 2021. She was born November 9, 1930 in Louisville. A city girl who moved to a rural setting with the love of her life. She was an only child, who managed, with her husband, to raise seven children to love the Lord and each other. Family was extremely important to her. She was a devoted Christian, active in her church, White Mills Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School and leading the youth group. She retired from Lincoln Village Development Center, helping many young men secure a chance for a better future. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Roberts, Jr; her parents, Rosa B. and Cal Witten an amazing daughter-in-law, Michele and her sweet grandson, Benjie. Betty is survived by seven children, Vicki (Mike) Pirtle, Steve Diann) Roberts, Suzanne Roberts, Ben (Debbie) Roberts, Marty (Francie) Roberts, Dan (Sandy) Roberts, and Rosemarie (Larry) Hay; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was much loved. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Roberts and Rev. Bruce Underhill officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
