William Holland Smith, 99, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, July 24, 2021 at his residence. He was a WWII Army Veteran with 1st Armor Division. He was also a member of DAV and Purple Heart Association, an avid gardener and loved taking care of gardening at Robinbrooke. He also enjoyed his time studying the Bible. He retired from General Motors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corinne "Kay" Smith; his parents, Ace and Lockie Smith; two brothers, Dallas Smith and Noel Smith; and one sister, Nina Morrison. He is survived by one son, Tony (Charlotte) Smith of Elizabethtown; one daughter, June E. Walsh of FL; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor Jeff Noel officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
