Amba Irene Adkins, 79 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, June 14, 2021 at Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany, IN. She was a native of Morgantown and was the best mom in the world. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie Adkins; her parents, Charlie and Zula Neighbors; two grandchildren, Jora Adkins and Christopher Hardy and siblings, Eddie, Harold, P.P., Alan, Bess Jean, and Ilene. She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Lisa) Adkins of Vine Grove, Steven Adkins of Leitchfield, Judy (Jeff) Thomas of Elizabethtown and Debbie (David) Thomas of Rineyville; siblings, Freddie, Junior, Wendy, Charlene and Maxine; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
