David E. Lavigne, 82 of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was a native of Carlton County, Minnesota, and was the owner of Lavigne Specialties in Radcliff for 25 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy after serving for 24 years. David was very devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Violet Rosina Porter Lavigne; two sisters, Dorothy Lavigne and Marion McArthur. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Weldon Lavigne; a son, David (Valerie) Lavigne of Snohomish, WA; a daughter, Phyllis (Steve) Green of Cecilia, KY; a sister, Shirley Eliason of Minnesota; seven grandchildren, David, Amber, Nicholas, Zachary, Elijah, Olivia, and Sophia; and 2 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 10th at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
