Charlie Wayne Burton, 72 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville. He was a native of Hardin County and was a carpenter at McNutt Construction. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madonna Joyce Burton; his parents, Charlie W. and Sophie Marie Taylor Burton and siblings, Harold Burton, Barbara La Pointe, Rosie Marie Burton, Alma Christine Niemiec, and Margaret Heim. He is survived by two children, Robyn Burton Carter (Troy) of Buffalo, KY and Mike Burton (Jennifer) of Murray, KY.; three brothers, James Jarvis Burton and Vernon Burton both of Elizabethtown and Glenn Burton of Louisville and one sister, Beverly Pauline Hicks of Radcliff; two grandchildren, Victoria and Madeline Burton. The funeral will be Saturday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
