Margaret Kerrick Crutcher

Margaret Kerrick Crutcher, 72, of Elizabethtown, KY WON her battle with cancer on Sunday, April 11, 2021 and is now rejoicing victoriously with Jesus and all those who have preceded her. She has fought the good fight, she has finished the race, she has kept the faith. Margaret was known by all for her kindness, her gentle voice, her love of flowers and hummingbirds, and the myriad of cards that she sent to others. Margaret was a wonderful cook and gardener. Most of all, she was known for her love of God, her family, and her church, Northside Baptist. Margaret was brave, strong, and courageous - she never once lost her faith in the Lord throughout this entire battle; her faith was steadfast, unshaken. And in fact, she used this as an opportunity to constantly speak the name of Jesus to countless people. Margaret spent her whole life being an encourager to everyone she met; she consistently demonstrated selflessness and a generosity and sincerity that only comes from Jesus. She was far more concerned with the needs of others than that of herself. She was an avid prayer warrior, spending more time in prayer with her Lord than just about anything else. Margaret spent fifty years with the love of her life, Mike, and together they created a beautiful family. Margaret adored her daughters and especially her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than spending time with the people she loved, and that included her many friends. Margaret left a tangible mark on this world and she did it one person at a time. There are no words powerful enough to express the magnitude of the difference she made in all of our lives. Margaret joins her parents, Floyd and Elizabeth Kerrick, her brother, Leroy Kerrick, and two precious unborn children in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Mike, her sister, Liz (Troy) Allard, her daughters, Missy (Paul) Kirtley and Kim (Micah) DuPree, and four grandchildren, Mackenzie and Brittany Kirtley and Ryan and Sarah DuPree. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday and continues from 9 to 11 am Friday at the funeral home. Masks are required.
